Petrified Forest National Park - Grand Rapids, Michigan


Petrified Forest National Park is an American national park in Navajo and Apache counties in northeastern Arizona. Named for its large deposits of petrified wood, the park covers about 900 square kilometers, encompassing semi-desert shrub steppe as well as highly eroded and colorful badlands.

Lake Superior - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Due to the huge number of cars produced there, Detroit is called the world capital of the automotive industry. In 1893, Henry Ford, a self-taught engineer, approached the mayor of Detroit asking for permission to travel around the city in a motor-carriage he called a "buggy." It was one of the first cars in the USA and the beginning of the Ford car factory.
