Bratislava is located in southwestern Slovakia at the foot of the Little Carpathians, occupying both banks of the Danube and the left bank of the Morava. Bordering Austria and Hungary, it is the only capital of the country that borders two sovereign states.

Tea time - Šaľa, Slovakia
Šaľa is located on the Danubian Lowland, on both banks of the Váh River, around 65 km from Bratislava. The town was first mentioned in 1002 in a document of Pannonhalma abbey.

#8 FOTW - Žirany, Slovakia
Slovakia has hundreds of caves and caverns under its mountains. Most of the caves have stalagmites rising from the ground and stalactites hanging from above. There are currently five Slovak caves under UNESCO's World Heritage Site status.
Žirany in historical records was first mentioned in 1113.
