Pin-up girl with mail - Murmansk, Russia


Pin-up - a term used to refer to a trend mainly derived from the 1940s and 1950s. Pin-up girls were beautiful and smiling, dressed in flared dresses or scanty outfits/underwear. They appeared mainly on posters that men pinned on the walls (hence their name).

Mailed from Arctic Circle - Murmansk, Russia


The city founded in 1916 is located behind the northern Arctic Circle.
Murmansk has a non-freezing port all year round, located in a 50-kilometer fjord.
Half of Murmansk Oblast is located on permafrost.

Tourism has been developing in the region in recent years. Oblast's visitors have the opportunity to come into contact with nature remaining intact with a human hand.
