By far the most popular type of beer in Germany is pilsner, generally known as ‘Pils’. The light-golden beer with the dry hoppy aroma is very popular in the North, West and East. The name goes back to the Czech town of Pilsen.

Mount Rushmore - Carol Stream, Illinois

Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a national memorial centered on a colossal sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills near Keystone, South Dakota, United States. Sculptor Gutzon Borglum created the sculpture's design and oversaw the project's execution from 1927 to 1941 with the help of his son, Lincoln Borglum.

The national flag of Qatar is in the ratio of 11:28. It is maroon with a broad white serrated band (nine white points) on the hoist side. It was adopted shortly before the country declared independence from the United Kingdom on 3 September 1971. Qatar's flag is the only national flag having a width more than twice its height.

In 2012, the Qatari government defined the exact shade of the Qatari flag as Pantone 1955 C, or 'Qatar maroon'. The history of purple dye in the country dates back several centuries. It has been asserted that Qatar was the site of the earliest known production of shellfish dye during the rule of the Kassites due to the presence of a purple dye industry on the Al Khor Islands.

The chapel with its octagonal building dates from the 19th century. In the chapel itself, you will find a rather small gothic altar from the 16th century and a gothic altarpiece with the 14 Holy Helpers.

In front of the chapel, visitors have a fantastic view over the Rosenheimer Land with Bad Aibling and Rosenheim to the Simssee and Chiemsee.

Wurstelprater - Warsaw, Poland

The Wurstelprater is an amusement park and section of the Wiener Prater (a park) in Leopoldstadt, Vienna, Austria. The mascot for the park is Calafati, a 9 m-tall sculpture of a Chinese man, which stands near the Wiener Riesenrad.

 

Mount Cook - Wellington, New Zealand

According to Māori legend, Aoraki was a young boy who, along with his three brothers, were the sons of Rakinui, the Sky Father. On their voyage around the Papatūānuku, the Earth Mother, their canoe became stranded on a reef and tilted. Aoraki and his brothers climbed onto the top side of their canoe. However, the south wind froze them and turned them to stone. Their canoe became the Te Waka o Aoraki, the South Island, and their prows, the Marlborough Sounds. Aoraki, the tallest, became the highest peak, and his brothers created the Kā Tiritiri o te Moana, the Southern Alps.

Theodore Gilbert Haupt (1902–1990), was an American Modernist painter, sculptor, and muralist who melded Cubist with Surrealist elements. As a graphic designer, he achieved recognition for his New Yorker magazine covers.

The flag of the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda as a red ensign was first adopted on 4 October 1910. It is a British Red Ensign with the Union Flag (which is the national flag) in the upper left corner and the coat of arms of Bermuda in the lower right.

The flag is unusual for a British overseas territory in that it is used on land in a red ensign form; most other British overseas territories use a version of the blue ensign for general use ashore.

In the language of the native Ute people, Wasatch means "mountain pass" or "low pass over high range." According to William Bright, the mountains were named for a Shoshoni leader who was named with the Shoshoni term wasattsi, meaning "blue heron".

 

Tea time - Šaľa, Slovakia

Šaľa is located on the Danubian Lowland, on both banks of the Váh River, around 65 km from Bratislava. The town was first mentioned in 1002 in a document of Pannonhalma abbey.
