Nashville, often known as Music City, is the capital and most populous city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Named for Francis Nash, a general of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, the city was founded in 1779 when this territory was still considered part of North Carolina. The city grew quickly due to its strategic location as a port on the Cumberland River and, in the 19th century, a railroad centre.

Gérard Fromanger was a French visual artist. A painter who also employed collage, sculpture, photography, cinema, and lithography, he was associated with the French artistic movement of the 1960s and 1970s, called Figuration Narrative (new figurative representation), somewhat like pop art. Fromanger was also associated with photorealism.

The Nouvelle Figuration movement is a reaction against abstract art, with a more political slant than American pop art. Fromanger has been described as a social critic who takes a political position without neglecting the poetic dimension.

The name Ayia Napa is derived from a Venetian-era monastery of the same name, located in the centre of the town. The word Ayia means "holy" in Greek. Napa is archaic and means "wooded valley" or "dell". In ancient times the area surrounding the town was covered with thick forest. Ayia Napa lies near Cape Greco in the eastern part of Cyprus, south of Famagusta, and forms part of a larger area known as Kokkinochoria ("Red Villages", a name derived from the vivid red colour of the soil).

The Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5 is a British biplane fighter aircraft of the First World War. It was developed at the Royal Aircraft Factory by a team consisting of Henry Folland, John Kenworthy and Major Frank Goodden. It was one of the fastest aircraft of the war, while being both stable and relatively manoeuvrable. According to aviation author Robert Jackson, the S.E.5 was: "the nimble fighter that has since been described as the 'Spitfire of World War One'".

The initial models of the S.E.5a differed from late production examples of the S.E.5 only in the type of engine installed – a geared 200 hp Hispano-Suiza 8b, often turning a large clockwise-rotation four-bladed propeller, replacing the 150 hp H.S. 8A model. 

 

Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge - Contreras, New Mexico

Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is located in San Antonio, Socorro County, New Mexico. Situated between the Chupadera Mountains to the west and the San Pascual Mountains to the east, the 57,331-acre Bosque del Apache was established in 1939 to provide a critical stopover site for migrating waterfowl. The refuge is well known for the tens of thousands of cranes, geese, and ducks who winter here each year. Over 30,000 acres of Bosque del Apache are designated wilderness.

Stone Town Nature Reserve (Rezerwat przyrody Skamieniałe Miasto) is located on the right bank of the Biała River, near Ciężkowice. It has an area of 15 hectares and was created in 1931. Among oak and pine forests are several large sandstone rocks, shaped during erosion. Altogether, they make the so-called stone town, and the names of individual rocks are based on their appearance (“Pyramid”, “Witch”, “Town Hall”, “Club”).

Novouralsk is a closed town in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, located on the eastern side of the Ural Mountains, about 70 kilometres north of Yekaterinburg, the administrative centre of the oblast. It was formerly known as Sverdlovsk-44. Although it occurred during World War II and was named Novouralsk in 1954, it was kept secret until 1994. It has had closed-town status since its establishment.

The modern flag of Hungary originated from the national freedom movement from before 1848, which culminated in the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. The revolution was not only in opposition against the monarchy but also the Habsburg Empire and to form an independent republic. Accordingly, the flag of Hungary features a tricolour element based on the flag of France as a reflection of the ideas of the French Revolution of 1848.

Folklore of the romantic period attributed the colours to virtues: red for strength, white for faithfulness and green for hope. Alternatively, red for the blood spilt for the fatherland, white for freedom and green for the land, for the pastures of Hungary. The new constitution, which took effect on 1 January 2012, makes the ex-post interpretation mentioned first official (in the semi-official translation: strength, fidelity and hope).
