On Sundays, from 6.00 to 9.00, there are "Days without a Car" in Jakarta, during which pedestrians play sports and exercise on the streets. In 2007, the city introduced a new law prohibiting the transfer of money to beggars and prohibiting smoking and spitting in public transport.
